Fans Can Kick-Off the Season With a Two-Day Free Preview Weekend

 NEW YORK - (March 8 2012) - Major League Soccer (MLS) is primed for a new action-packed season beginning on March 10, and this year the MLS Direct Kick television package delivers a significant increase in games from earlier seasons. Through an agreement between national distributor iN DEMAND and MLS, digital cable subscribers nationwide will be able to get the full 2012 season of up to 233 regular season MLS games, plus select MLS Cup playoff games, for only $79.  A free preview is set for the weekend of March 10 and 11, when soccer fans can access up to six games. 

Among the cable MSOs offering the package this year through iN DEMAND are: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision Systems, Bresnan Communications, FiOS TV, RCN, Armstrong, Metrocast, Bristol Virginia Utilities, Openband, Sudenlink Communications, Toledo Blade, Pencor, plus a number of other affiliates. 

This is Major League Soccer's seventeenth season, and the league now has 19 teams, with 2012 marking the inaugural season for the Montreal Impact.  This year, soccer fans will be able to enjoy five or six games each weekend.
