Movies On Demand on Cable Update – September 2016

Action-packed titles are sure to keep the summer heat coming as new movies make their television premiere via Movies on Demand (MOD) on cable this September.

ACTION

In Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, sides are drawn as the Avengers’ loyalties are split between Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) as they fight to establish the best course of action for defending humanity, either with or without government interference. It achieved 90% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, for its thought-provoking theme that added to the action.

After going their separate ways, Dwayne Johnson enlists Kevin Hart, his old high school friend, to help him on a top-secret CIA mission, in Central Intelligence. As their worlds collide, the duo tackle shoot-outs and terrorists, but can they still make it to their high school reunion on time?

Supervillain Shredder has escaped custody and it is up to the Ninja Turtles to save the world in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. With the help of Megan Fox and Will Arnett, not only must the turtles defeat Shredder, but a new villain on the rise. In Now You See Me 2 starring Morgan Freeman and Jesse Eisenberg, the cunning illusionists are back for an encore performance, hoping to expose a tech magnate’s unethical practices.

THRILLER

In The Conjuring 2, evil spirits and demonic possession are no match for Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, as they head to London to help a single mother of four investigate paranormal activity in her home.

Headlining The Shallows, Blake Lively undergoes the ultimate fight for survival when she is left stranded on the feeding ground of a great white shark. Directed by Jodie Foster, Money Monster stars George Clooney as a Wall Street guru who gets taken hostage live on air with his only solace that his longtime producer, Julia Roberts, is also a hostage.
