Movies On Demand on Cable Update – June 2015

June 2015 includes an array of entertaining films making their television premieres via Movies on Demand (MOD) on cable.

Just in time for beach season, SpongeBob and his cronies come ashore for a wild and zany adventure. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, was a huge hit at the box office and now comes to MOD to delight both kids and adults.

Definitely not for kids is the Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart outrageous prison comedy, Get Hard. Focus stars the ever-appealing and slick Will Smith in this crime comedy from the filmmakers behind Crazy, Stupid, Love.

For pure escapism, MOD premieres three Sci-Fi titles this month:

In Jupiter Ascending, Mila Kunis plays Jupiter Johns, a menial worker fated for cosmic greatness who is whisked away by interstellar warrior Channing Tatum.   In Project Almanac, some high school prodigies work on an unfinished time-travel device and find themselves in dangerous territory. And in Chappie, an oppressive future is policed by mechanized droids, until Chappie is reprogrammed and becomes a threat to the status quo.
