New York, February 6 – Hollywood is buzzing with glitz, glamour, red carpets and honors in anticipation of the industry’s biggest prize on Feb. 22, when the film industry presents its prized golden statues. Happily, many of these celebrated films are now playing or coming soon to Movies On Demand (MOD), plus past winners, nominee interviews and an Awards Pool add to the season’s fun.

Currently on or premiering on MOD in February are nominated titles including Boyhood, The Theory of Everything, Whiplash, Guardians of the Galaxy, Nightcrawler and many more. March brings Foxcatcher, Into the Woods, Unbroken, The Imitation Game, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and others.  (See list of nominated films now playing or coming soon to MOD below.)

Besides the new release titles, Movies On Demand has curated a very rich selection of more than 100 of the most acclaimed winning films of all time, available to cable viewers from now until March 9 (See partial list of titles below).

Many systems* are featuring Free On Demand (FOD) awards-related programs, including exclusive interviews with current nominees, both on set-top and online.  These “Contender Conversations” can be found on systems in the On Demand folders, system websites** or on during Awards Season 2015 (available through March 9). Through a partnership with the best-known independent film website Indiewire, these intimate star and director interviews were captured by Movies On Demand cameras at major film festivals throughout the year. Highlights this year include insightful discussions with actors, directors and composers, such as Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, Eddie Redmayne, Steve Carell, J.K. Simmons, Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Jake Gyllenhaal, Channing Tatum, and more.

Along with our partner, JOLLY TIME® Pop Corn, we are making it a lot easier for movie fans to host a party using our special free Awards Pool Manager. Viewers can sign up individually in our national Pool or host a private Pool, where they and their friends can mark their ballots and have the results automatically tabulated as the show progresses. Sign up information is HERE.  Every entrant will receive a coupon for 1 FREE carton of JOLLY TIME Pop Corn and Pool winners will be entered to win a year of Movies On Demand plus free JOLLY TIME Pop Corn for a year.
