LET’S GET SPOOKED! Movies On Demand on Cable Presents New Release & Classic Halloween Movie Treats
New York, Oct. 15 – Movies On Demand on cable (MOD) has scared up a frightful collection of new and classic thrillers to keep cable audiences across the country in goose-bumps this Halloween, including new releases, some of the most revered horror franchises and whimsical kids’ content.*
Once again MOD will set the mood for the holiday with its streaming Jack-O-Lantern, a free online treat available from now, through Nov. 2. NEW RELEASE SCARY TITLES*
Several new releases from the major studios make their television premieres on cable and anchor MOD’s 2015 Halloween presentations:
- In Sam Raimi’s (Spider Man, Evil Dead) contemporary remake of the classic tale, Poltergeist (now playing), a suburban home is haunted and the family is spooked by the disappearance of their daughter. Starring Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt
- Insidious: Chapter 3 with Bonus Q&A (now playing), is the truly terrifying next chapter in the series, featuring Stefanie Scott as a teenager trying to communicate with her dead mother, and winds up being pursued by threatening paranormal demons. [NOTE: Bingeing is encouraged as most cable systems are also carrying the two earlier titles in the franchise!]
- The Gift (Premieres 10/27) is a critically-acclaimed, dark, dramatic chiller about a couple who moves back to the husband’s home town only to find a former “friend” has demonic intentions, starring Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall.
- In the creepy The Gallows (now playing), a high school play is re-enacted and goes horribly wrong.
