What is iN DEMAND?
iN DEMAND is the TV destination for entertainment and sports fans. You get the best movies, college and pro sports, big events and exclusive originals. With iN DEMAND you get what you want and only what you want from the comfort of your own home.
How is iN DEMAND different from pay-per-view?
iN DEMAND brings you more of the programs you want to see. Programming you can't get anywhere else on cable. iN DEMAND will continue to introduce new sports packages, events and original productions. With iN DEMAND, you get what you want and only what you want.
How do I order iN DEMAND?
Ordering methods vary from one local cable system to another, with the use of either your cable remote or your telephone. Call your local cable company for more information about their pay-per-view ordering process.
Do I need any special equipment to view iN DEMAND programs? Do I need a cable box, for example?
In order to order a pay-per-view movie or event you need a set-top addressable decoder box. This enables your cable company to authorize your household to receive pay-per-view programs or other scrambled programming like HBO or Showtime.
Is there any way we can order movies online?
Ordering pay-per-view online is not currently possible at this time. However, ordering methods do vary from one cable system to another, with the use of either your cable remote or your telephone.
How do I find out when specific movies are offered?
Click on Movies in the navigation bar. A complete, alphabetical monthly listing is available by selecting the correct month. Listings are usually available 2 months in advance.
How can I tell if a movie is an all day ticket or a one-time event?
Your local cable company decides whether a title will be offered as an all day movie ticket. Please contact your local operator for that information (you'll find their number on any cable bill).
Because of this and other controlling interests, iN DEMAND and its high-definition network INHD remains a private company.
How do you verify employment with your company?
Employment records can be acquired by contacting Human Resources:
By Phone: 646-638-8227
By Email: ckostbar@indemand.com
Where can I inquire about employment?

Will iN DEMAND ever be available on Direct TV or other satellite networks?
iN DEMAND is a partnership venture between Comcast Cable, Cox Cable, Time Warner Entertainment and other cable companies to offer a broad range of pay-per-view and on-demand services to their subscribers.
Because satellite companies have internal pay-per-view solutions and other controlling interests, iN DEMAND is not currently available on any satellite networks.
Is iN DEMAND offered outside the U.S.?
We are solely a U. S. based company. We do not distribute any of our programming outside of the U.S.
How much does my movie/event cost?
Pricing for movies and events is determined by your local cable system. While we provide suggested retail prices and guidelines, the actual retail price is set by your cable company and can vary on a system by system basis.
Our site is designed to provide national information about pay-per-view. If we were to include pricing information, even recommended prices, it might lead to confusion about what actual charges are set by your local cable company.
There are many ways individual cable systems indicate prices, including barker channels (what you see on a pay-per-view channel when you have not ordered anything), customer service reps, listings guides, etc. If you're not sure where to find local prices, you may want to call your cable system during business hours and ask them where the information is available.
Where can I place a complaint about inappropriate advertising during children's shows?
Your cable operator is responsible for any off-network advertising (not placed by that network) or internal communications to its subscribers. If you believe an advertisement was placed on the wrong network or at an inappropriate time-slot, please contact your cable operator to field your complaint.
What is the difference between In Demand and On Demand?
iN DEMAND Networks is the NAME of our company, which was formed in 1999 to provide innovative, exciting entertainment that is delivered through cable TV's best technologies. One of these technologies is video on demand. Video on demand allows digital cable users to order movies, events and other premium and free programming any time of the day or night with their cable remote and control it like a DVD, with fast-forward, rewind and pause functionality. iN DEMAND Networks launched one of the first video on demand services, Movies On Demand, in 2001 and recently launched its first premium video on demand offering, Howard Stern On Demand, in late 2005.
Troubleshooting
Something not happen as expected? Do you have a problem with programming? Check here for a quick solution.
I have been trying to call for hours and can't get through.
The calling volume increases immediately before the start of an event. In order to avoid getting a busy signal we recommend that you try and place the order several hours beforehand.
We ordered a movie or event and it's not playing.
Call your cable company immediately to have the problem corrected.
I ordered a movie and the wrong movie was played. How do I get my money back?
Please contact your local cable company with your request for credit. Since iN DEMAND does not bill you for programming (that is facilitated by your local company) you would need to request credit from them.
How come I do not receive certain games?
Certain sporting events are blocked locally to protect the rights of local broadcast stations. If that occurs you should be able to view the games on local broadcast. However, other restrictions, established by the leagues, may apply to protect the rights of regional sports networks.
Blackouts are not based upon whether a game is home or away, but depends on who is bringing you the game.
If I move and switch cable companies, how can I transfer my service?
It is possible, but not guaranteed, that you can get a credit for the remaining service with your current cable operator to be used towards your new operator. However, because iN DEMAND is a third-party network that provides a service to cable networks across the United States, this question can only be answered by your cable operator. Please contact your cable operator for assistance with this inquiry.
Why am I unable to access programs that are on the schedule?
Please contact your local cable operator.
My service was cut off in the middle of the 9th inning/final quarter. Can I get a credit?
Please contact your local cable operator for information regarding technical difficulties and credits.
There's a Pay Per View item on my bill that I did not order. Can I get a refund?
Please contact your cable operator for assistance with this inquiry.
Can you tell me more about a specific item on my bill? I don't recognize the program name.
Please contact your cable operator for assistance with this inquiry.
Features and Programming
Are all PPV movies close captioned, or is it only certain releases?
Unfortunately, not every movie is close captioned, but the number of close captioned titles is rising. The close captioning of titles is determined by our program suppliers.
Can you provide us with a choice between letterboxed and non-letterboxed versions of a movie?
The majority of our titles are not in letterbox format. Occasionally we will offer titles in letterbox, but only on rare occasions.
Is iN DEMAND broadcasting in Dolby 5.1?
We currently do not transmit movies in Dolby 5.1/AC3, but are looking into adding it in the near future.
I missed my event/movie/sport, can I get a copy of the event? Will it be rescheduled?
We are sorry but we cannot offer copies of our programming. Some programs will have repeat viewings. You can check the listings pages on our site for repeat programming.
Why are some sporting events blocked? / How come I do not receive certain games?
Certain sporting events are blocked locally to protect the rights of local broadcast stations. If that occurs you should be able to view the games on local broadcast. However, other restrictions, established by the leagues, may apply to protect the rights of regional sports networks. Blackouts are not based upon whether a game is home or away, but depends on who is bringing you the game.
When will iN DEMAND offer the NFL Sunday Ticket package?
The NFL Sunday Ticket package is exclusive to satellite until the conclusion of the 2010 NFL Season. iN DEMAND will not be able to negotiate for the rights to that package until the existing contract expires.
