Movies On Demand Presents the Television Premiere of The Conjuring, and a Scary Selection of Other Great New Release, Library and Kids Halloween Titles

New York, Oct. 14 - Movies On Demand on cable (MOD) has scared up a frightful collection of new and classic thrillers to keep audiences in goose-bumps this Halloween. From the television premiere of "The Conjuring" on Oct. 22 (along with a special Twitter contest), to genre premiere titles, some of the most revered horror franchises and whimsical kids' content, MOD has got your ghoul on.***
New Release Scary Titles* The centerpiece of MOD's 2013 Halloween presentations is the television premiere of this summer's The Conjuring, the terrifying true tale of a couple who were renowned paranormal investigators (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), directed by James Wan (Insidious, Saw). The film, called "well-crafted and gleefully creepy" by Rotten Tomatoes, premieres on demand October 22, (same day as DVD and weeks before Netflix and Redbox). Many other scary new major studio releases are already available on MOD for the holiday, including World War Z, The Purge, Dark Skies, The Last Exorcism Part II, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Evil Dead, This Is the End and R.I.P.D. (starts 10/22). Some of the new release indies now playing for Halloween include Argento's Dracula, Curse of Chucky and The Monkey's Paw, plus starting on 10/11 are Cottage Country, Escape From Tomorrow and Ghost Team One, and premiering 10/18 is Hellbenders. Kids and Family Halloween* Once they get into their costumes, kids can get into the Halloween "spirit," on MOD with The Addams Family, Coraline, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Corpse Bride, The Witches, The Little Vampire, The Goonies, and more now playing.
