MOD Awards Season Messaging Featured in High-Profile Entertainment Sites, Sweepstakes, Original Content and Social Media

New York, February 13, 2013 - Awards Season 2013 is in full swing, and cable systems across the country are gearing up for the big awards on Feb. 24 by promoting cable's Movies On Demand (MOD) as the best place to see many award-winning and award-nominated titles. Leading Movies On Demand distributor iN DEMAND is building awareness with a four-pronged national marketing campaign, using high profile media, social media partnerships, weekly sweepstakes and custom-produced on-air and online awards-themed content, all driving consumers to robust MOD stunt folders airing current nominated movies and more than 100 former winners. The multiplatform outreach is set to garner over 180 million impressions on behalf of cable's MOD. 

"Awards Season has become Hollywood's premiere selling season and iN DEMAND is once again delivering national exposure to our affiliates to capitalize on the interest in nominated films leading up to the biggest awards night on February 24," said Stacie Gray, Chief Creative Officer, iN DEMAND.

Following is a brief overview of iN DEMAND's 2013 Awards Season campaign: 

Digital Media Partnerships and National Sweepstakes

To build awareness of the 2013 MOD Awards Season titles, iN DEMAND's digital creative will be featured on popular Awards Season website destinations TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly, E!, Hitfix, Indiewire and throughout the Google Display Network and Facebook. All media drives consumers to and where they can enter a weekly sweepstakes to win a mini-tablet during February and also learn what's on MOD. Running throughout February and into early March, these interactive features will engage audiences with ads and innovative promotions such as a custom poll on Hitfix and the third annual custom-built TV Guide Pick ‘Em Challenge where viewers are encouraged to make their predictions and enter for a chance to win a 50" HDTV.  Plus, Roger Ebert's channel on is sponsored by Movies On Demand.  MOD has also partnered with social influence network Klout to reward users who are active in social media around movies, using its Klout Perks program. And fans who check in to nominated films via entertainment social network GetGlue can unlock an "Awards Season Enthusiast" sticker.                                                           

Branded Promotional Content

A series of original Free On Demand (FOD) added value programs will promote awareness and engagement among movie lovers, encouraging them to explore cable's Awards Season offerings. Available on various web and social media properties such as, and embedded in each sweepstakes entry confirmation page, these short original programs with MOD host Camille Ford provide an insider's look into what makes some of the greatest filmmakers tick.  In the pieces, "making-of" clips are mixed with interviews with current nominees and former winners (in movies which are currently playing on MOD) such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Hilary Swank, Helen Mirren, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sean Penn and Forest Whitaker. Directors Ang Lee, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Ben Affleck and Clint Eastwood are also interviewed. The content also is presented in Awards Season categories on cable*.

Awards Season Library and Current titles

Some of the year's biggest nominated hits such as "Argo," "Beasts of the Southern Wild,"  "Frankenweenie," "Marvel's The Avengers," "The Master," "Prometheus," "Skyfall," "Flight" and many others are currently available or coming soon to cable's on demand platform**.  Listings are at including past winners now playing on MOD.
